Imagine W1A with a thicker layer of poignancy, and you've got the tone of this British take on the French acting industry comedy Call My Agent. The UK version mirrors the original quite closely, and starts on a day of great tension at a talent agency run by fractious father-son team (Jim Broadbent and Jack Davenport) and ambitious Rebecca (Lydia Leonard).
That would be a good enough set-up on its own, but what gives this show a little extra pizazz is the showbiz cameos - as with the original, each episode unfolds around a celebrity playing themselves at a moment of crisis, and the first two are Kelly Macdonald and Helena Bonham Carter. It was all decent enough fun but lacked the edge of the French original, and Ten Percent was cancelled after its first series. (Eight episodes)
