And Just Like That... (Series 2): Trailer, certificate and where to watch
The Sex And The City revival returns on fabulous form
Year: 2023
Certificate: 15
Series one of this Sex And The City revival took the fifty-something Manhattanites on a lively journey, so stop reading now if you've yet to catch up. Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) had the biggest shift of all, swapping reliable old Steve for flamboyant non-binary comedian Che, and moving to Los Angeles to bask in her new love's showbiz career. Where will following her heart, not her head, have led?
The perfect Charlotte (Kristin Davis) looked unchanged on the surface, still balancing looking fabulous, being a great wife and mum and keeping all her society plates spinning - but she definitely became feistier last time around and that looks set to accelerate in series two, with fresh social and work opportunities coming her way. She even gets drunk.
Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) spent much of the series reeling from the death of Big, but looked as if she was ready to fall in love once more by the time the finale rolled around - and we know her other old love, Aidan, will be back this series. Most discussed last time, though, was the absence of Samantha (Kim Cattrall), after Cattrall's very public feud with Sarah Jessica Parker. Cattrall's role as the sexy, independent best friend to Carrie was largely replaced by free-living estate agent Seema, but Carrie and Samantha had made up by the finale - at least, over text. Cattrall returns in the last episode of this series, but only for a telephone call with Carrie. Maybe we'll see them in the same room in series three, but don't hold your breath. (11 episodes)
