You'd be forgiven for not noticing this, but Netflix has been making games for years. Sometimes they're in the form of interactive, choose-your-own-adventure-style TV shows, either for adults (Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's Kimmy vs the Reverend) or for children (You Vs Wild, Puss In Boots), and sometimes they're in the form of a quiz. Triviaverse falls into the second category.
The general-knowledge quiz can be played with either one or two players, and challenges the participants to see who can score the highest number of correct answers across increasingly trickier, time-limited rounds. The range of questions is reminiscent of Trivial Pursuit, albeit with a greater slant towards pop culture, and the stripped-back, simple nature of the whole set-up can make it surprisingly addictive.
