Rich people living in fancy places is a sub-genre of reality TV all by itself - just look at all the Real Housewives shows. Secrets In Paradise is filmed on the biggest of the Caribbean Cayman islands, and follows the moneyed men and women making lives there.
The most famous is Elizabeth Chambers, who was divorced from the actor Armie Hammer in 2023 after multiple allegations of sexual assault and colourful stories of alleged cannibalistic interest against The Social Network star surfaced. It's since been announced Hammer would face no charges - on the basis of insufficient evidence - but the legacy of all that is clear in this series.
'I hate this, why are we making it about Armie,' despairs Chambers at one point, although it's not hard to imagine why that's happening on a reality TV show, really. Still, the mother of two is only one of the people we follow. There's also Brit Chelsea Flynn, who's reeling from relationship troubles of her own. (Ten episodes)
