What do management consultants do? No, really - what do they actually do? That's the question at the heart of this slick, dark and funny US show. Marvel's Don Cheadle plays Marty Kaan, the gleefully deceitful head of a firm of top US consultants. Together with his partner Jeannie (The Good Place's Kristen Bell) and their team, they set out to fleece corporate America for every penny they can get, all while convincing them that Marty and co are the only ones who can save them from their problems.
It's icily enjoyable stuff, crammed with likeably disreputable scoundrels and acidic dialogue in equal dollops, and is based on the non-fiction book House Of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch And Then Tell You The Time. (Five series)
