Atmospheric family mystery drama that starts and ends with death

An English-language remake of Welsh drama 35 Days, this uses flashbacks to great effect. Not unlike Channel 5's The Inheritance, the focus is on a pretty toxic family, and a reunion that both starts and ends with a death: They reunite for a funeral and then 15 days later there's a bloody corpse on the farmhouse floor.
As with The Inheritance there are squabbles aplenty over who gets what - the farmland is a particular bone of contention - and no shortage of long-buried secrets and bitter rivalries. The cast includes ex-Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley and Silent Witness's David Caves, and it's a decently tangled mystery that, while delivering nothing especially new, does so with sturdy flair. There's also a creepy, possibly haunted house atmosphere, excellent performances and a confidently presented reveal. (Four episodes)
