Cyrell Paule has broken down in tears on Monday's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Australia.

The former Married At First Sight star wept to her campmates as she described how she lacks the confidence to be seen in public without her makeup on.

The 36-year-old explained that she has been hiding a secret scar on her forehead, which she got after suffering an accidental burn as a child.

Going barefaced on the jungle-based reality show has been a massive challenge, Cyrell told her co-star Concetta Caristo.

Breaking down in tears, she confessed: 'One of my biggest fears was to come here without make up. And it sounds so silly, but I was really so scared to show my face without makeup and how people would react to it.

'Do you know no one has ever seen me without makeup besides my partner and my son? This is my first time really showing the world my scar on my face.'

Cyrell sobbed hysterically as she shared how criticism of her looks led her to doubting her partner Eden Dally's love for her.

'My partner being a white Australian man, people just did not see why he would be with a short, black Asian,' she said.

'He was on Love Island. He's known to get girls with blonde hair and blue eyes. And I always get comments like, "What's he doing with her? How can he wake up to a face like that every morning?"

'It made me question, truthfully, "Why are you with me? You can get such beautiful girls",' she sobbed.

Cyrell went on to admit that she thought her face was so offensive that the other campmates would comment on it.

'I was so worried when I woke up the first day in the jungle. I thought you guys were all going to be like, "What's wrong with her face? What happened to her face?"

'My past was growing up in primary school being called scar face.'

The reality star says that baring her skin on national television has been an act of self-love.

'It may not seem a lot for anyone else, but it's one step to loving myself, coming in here and showing all of Australia my scar.

'This is who I am and you either love it, or don't, but this is who I am.'

Cyrell and her partner Eden Dally welcomed Boston, their first child together, in February 2020.

The couple met in March 2019 after Cyrell's 'marriage' to Nic Jovanovic on Married At First Sight ended when they decided they were better off as friends.

Eden rose to fame on the first season of Love Island Australia in 2018.

Insiders earlier revealed the mother-of-one, who rose to fame on the 2019 season of MAFS, was an excellent choice for I'm A Celebrity.

'Cyrell was perfect for this series,' an insider told Daily Mail this week.

'She's fearless, outspoken and completely unapologetic. She doesn't hold back and she doesn't crumble under pressure - that's exactly what you want in the jungle.'

Another source added: 'She's raw, unpredictable and brutally honest. You don't need to manufacture drama with Cyrell – she brings it naturally.'

'She's not afraid of confrontation, discomfort or speaking her truth.'
