If you're looking to be transported to what feels like another world this Christmas season, then Tim Burton 'masterpiece' that is Edward Scissorhands might be your perfect festive flick.
The iconic 90s movie is now available to stream for free on ITVX and stars Johnny Depp as a reimagined Frankenstein's monster.
As the film's name suggests, its star has scissors for hands and the plot centres around what happens when loving Avon lady Peg Boggs (Dianne Wiest) takes in Edward after his creator's death and introduces him to suburban life.
It is there that he meets Kim (Winona Ryder) and a touching, yet tragic romance against a snowy backdrop ensues.
The film's simple IMDb synopsis reads: 'The solitary life of an artificial man with scissors for hands is upended when he is taken in by a suburban family.'
With an impressive IMDb rating of 7.8 out of 10 and an even more eye-popping Rotten Tomatoes score of 91%, Edward Scissorhands is a must-watch (or rewatch) for any classic film fan.

Edward Scissorhands was a hit both at the time of its release in 1991 and to this day and has received countless glowing reviews as a 'timeless masterpiece'.
The Daily Telegraph praised: 'Burton's modern fairytale has an almost palpably personal feel: it is told gently, subtly and with infinite sympathy for an outsider who charms the locals but then inadvertently arouses their baser instincts.'
Rolling Stone said: 'Burton's richly entertaining update of the Frankenstein story is the year's most comic, romantic and haunting film fantasy.'
Cinematic Lovelies praised it as 'one of Burton's best', describing it as 'a magical odyssey of invention and human emotion, with a distinguishable tone and look. This one is for the weirdos.'
Film Inquiry, meanwhile, said that Edward Scissorhands is one of the greatest films ever made.
The outlet noted: 'With Burton's surreal illustrative ingenuity, Depp and Ryder's career-making performances, and a story filled with simplicity, complexity, and intangible wizardry that stands the test of time, Edward Scissorhands is one of the greatest films ever.'
The legacy of the film will be well-known to fans of Burton as following its success, he and Johnny Depp went on to create a number of other critically and commercially acclaimed films including Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd.

Back in 2015, Tim Burton addressed the possibility of making a sequel to Edward Scissorhands and described the prospect as a 'nightmare'.
He told Entertainment Weekly: 'For me, they’re very singular things, and I think - yeah, some things, I easily get why you make more movies.
'Trilogies, and sequels, and octogoni. I get it. But for me, they're usually just singular things.'
If you take our advice and watch Edward Scissorhands and simply can't get enough of Burton, we also highly recommend the animated classic that is The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Released back in 1993, it is also a reimagining of The Grinch and explores what happens when the worlds of Halloween and Christmas collide.
