Fans have accused Nine of obvious product placement during the latest episode of The Golden Bachelor.

On Sunday night, Barry 'Bear' Myrden, 61, and the women vying for his heart set off on their first overnight stay, enjoying a camping trip in motorhomes together.

However, Kim was brought to tears after her spirited performance in the stand up paddle board challenge failed to score her a date with The Golden Bachelor.

'I feel let down that I didn't get any personal time,' the 60-year-old confessed while sitting at the fire pit with the other participants.

She added: 'I tried to stand out on this trip and I'm a bit nervous to be honest that that connection I thought we had is not there.'

When noticing Kim was visibly upset, Bear pulled her for a chat – leaving a perfectly placed Darrell Lea box sitting on the floor by the vacant chairs.

What's more, during the fire pit scene, the women were shown enjoying the Aussie brand's rocky road chocolate, nibbling as they discussed the day's adventures.

Fans were quick to clock the confectionery – and question whether it was overt advertising by the show's production.

'I love how unsubtle 9 is when it comes to product placements and sponcon,' one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Another sarcastically wrote, 'Bear: "I wanted to make sure she was okay"....of course, I mean who isn't cheered up by a very obviously carefully staged Darrell Lea product placement.'

'Could go some of that Darrell Lea Rocky Road that’s on the table,' one person hilariously penned.

Another pointed out, 'Darrell Lea promo time. Pass the rocky road.'

The Golden Bachelor's fifth episode set tongues wagging on Sunday night after one of the contestants refused a rose from Bear.

Terri, 61, was one of the hopefuls offered a chance to stay another week at the rose ceremony.

But when Bear called out her name, Terri hesitated, leaving the other women confused.

The Property Investor from Victoria tentatively stepped forward – and delivered Barry a shocking blow.

'Will you accept this rose?' a befuddled Bear asked again, his gaze fixed on a stony-faced Terri.

'I thought long and hard about it. I'm not going to accept your rose,' Terri admitted, to gasps from the other ladies.

Refusing a rose is rarely seen on The Bachelor franchise, and has happened only a handful of times in the show's history.

Terri had very little time with Bear during a camping trip with the other ladies during Sunday's episode.

Only Sunny scored a one-on-one date, leaving several of the women upset – and one, Kim, in tears, over her lack of connection with the Bachelor.
