Paloma Faith has revealed she once nearly killed her friend Alan Carr and singer Adele's pet dog.

The singer, 43, recounted the tale as she appeared on Friday's episode of ITV's This Morning hosted by Alison Hammond, 50, and Josie Gibson, 40.

Discussing her new podcast Mad, Sad & Bad, she mentioned Alan, 48, and Alison brought up how the comedian 'outed' Paloma.

'He literally said about how you nearly poisoned Adele's dog, you nearly killed it didn't you with some lamb?' the presenter asked.

Paloma laughed and said: 'Yes I did, but that was a long time ago.

'I was being so nice I was like, "I'll come round to Alan's, I'll cook everyone dinner," and then he's outing me on there just saying "You nearly killed us. You nearly killed a massive portion of the entertainment business".'

The singer chuckled as she added, 'It wasn't on purpose!'

Josie then asked: 'What happened to the dog then?'

Paloma revealed how Adele's dog was 'defecating on the floor' before laughing again.

The conversation was referring to when Alan featured on Paloma's new podcast and revealed the tale.

On Mad, Sad & Bad the comic explained how he invited Adele, her pet dog Louie and Paloma over and Paloma offered to cook.

He shared: 'It was the lamb that gave everyone food poisoning and I know because I follow my gut and my gut said it was the lamb.

'So we're sitting there and my stomach's going, and then Adele's dog Louie is a sausage dog, so then the dog had a bit of the lamb and then I've never seen s*** come out so quick. It was a pfft.'

The comedian elaborated how he brought kitchen roll to clean the mess and Adele put it up her nose 'because of the smell'.
