One Masked Singer fan has 'rumbled' Wolf as a Coronation Street icon after a 'giveaway' poster clue.

ITV viewers have been trying to crack who is underneath the Wolf costume and one has spotted a potential link to Coronation Street's Nigel Havers.

As suspicions deepen over who is who on the show, fans have been sent into a frenzy trying to pinpoint their favourite celebrities.

And one is convinced they've identified Wolf following their rendition of The Candy Man on Saturday.

The guess came after they spotted a revealing image: the poster for Nigel Havers' one-man show, 'Talking B*LL*CKS', where he's seated beside a wolf mask in a casual manner.

A poster for the upcoming production at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on Drury Lane sparked speculation among fans, with many believing it inadvertently 'revealed' the true identity of the Wolf.

Nigel, 73, became widely known for his beloved portrayal of Lewis Archer in Coronation Street.

He made his debut in Weatherfield in 2009, and his character made a dramatic exit a decade later.

Nigel's career extended far beyond the soap world.

He featured in Netflix's The Gentleman, the ITV comedy Benidorm, the drama Finding Alice, and Tracey Ullman's Show.

His acting journey began in 1973 with a small role in the period drama Shabby Tiger, according to OK!

It comes as The Masked Singer fans and judges were left in shock on Saturday night as a huge TV presenter was unveiled as Teeth.

After going up against Bear in the nail-biting sing-off, judges Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan  and Maya Jama opted to vote out Teeth, with all of them none-the-wiser as to who was behind the mask.

So it came as a great surprise when the character finally took off their costume head and revealed themselves to be none other than Mel Giedroyc.

The actress, comedian and presenter delighted following the reveal, telling the panel: 'I'll take Su Pollard! It's so nice to see you guys. I love these teeth so much! I was very pleased with Alex Scott. Such a fun show, it's impossible not to have fun on this show!'

The reveal comes after viewers complained that the clues during the game were 'impossible' as they struggled to work out who was hiding in the costumes.

Mel's appearance left the panel open-mouthed in shock after they failed to mention her name at all throughout the series.

Other guesses for the star - who changed her voice throughout - included sports commentator Alex Scott, comedian Su Pollard and radio host Ferne Cotton.

Viewers watching at home also found it difficult to identify Mel, with many blaming the tough clues which featured one referring to Australian soap Neighbours which is filmed in Melbourne - an apparent link to Mel's name.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were quick to share their anger at the clues.

They penned: 'Sorry Neighbours reference was a clue to MELbourne!? These clues are getting impossible.'

'Stupid clues'; 'The clues are so obscure unless you know the voice of the singer its impossible sometimes'

'Mel Feel like I should have got that! Though those clues are a s t r e t c h.'

These clues are bloody stupid serious. Neighbours is filmed in Melbourne and her names Mel...jog on

Speaking about how she felt to be leaving the show, Mel told host Joel Dommett: 'I feel really elated actually. I blooming loved it. I'm sad because my next song was Pointer Sisters, 'Automatic' done as Marlene Dietrich. That would have been fun.'

She went on to add of her unveiling: 'I just feel it's a win-win. I didn't think I'd get this far, I think I've got over half way which is great! It's been so fun.'

Asked whether this was now a career highlight, she remarked: 'Listen, if you told me you're going to have a chance to sing the Neighbours theme tune dressed as an enormous pair of wind up teeth with pink tights and big pink flapping feet, I would say I could stop my career now. For me that is the pinnacle!'

Mel noted that she didn't tell Sue she was taking part 'because she didn't tell me', adding: 'She was a Dragon and she never told me. So right back at ya girlfriend!'

However, she divulged her big news to her husband Ben Morris, who endeavored not to spill the beans to anyone.

Mel explained: 'My husband. He took it really seriously. The level of training he took me through at home!'
