Major BBC show just days away from returning to screens after extended break and schedule shake-up
A major BBC show is just days away from returning to TV screens after taking an extended break as part of a schedule shake-up.
Fans would have noticed that The One Show show has been off air since before Christmas.
Hosted by the likes of Alex Jones, 47, Roman Kemp, 31, and Lauren Laverne, 46, the chat show usually airs on weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
However, it has been on a break over the festive season with no new episodes since Friday, December 20.
BBC viewers were instead given Christmas specials such as the final episode of Gavin and Stacey and the Outnumbered reboot.
But those itching for the return of The One Show will be pleased to know that it will return for regular scheduled programming on Monday.

Five days ahead of Christmas, Alex signed off The One Show's final episode of 2024.
Just before a performance from Little Bit Of Love singer Tom Grennan, the presenter said: 'Well that's it. It's almost time for Tom's performance.
'But we just wanted to say thank you so much to tonight's guests and thank you to all our guests and contributors who have taken part in the show this year.
'Also thanks to everybody who works so hard behind the scenes to put this show together.
'But the biggest thanks of course goes to you for watching. And we will see you on the 6th of January next year.'
On the episode, Alex and Lauren were joined by Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke, 58, comedian and winner of last year's Strictly, Chris McCausland, 47, and fellow comedian Lee Mack, 56.
Chris was honoured during the show for his major achievement as being the first blind contestant to win Strictly.
His victory has been celebrated across the country with the Scottish Government recognising him for breaking barriers.

Former presenter Jermaine Jenas, 41, pictured with remaining co-hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp before he was sacked
Last year saw The One Show embroiled in a scandal as former host Jermaine Jenas, 41, was removed from the programme and sacked by the BBC after complaints that he sent 'inappropriate messages' to two female colleagues.
He later admitted to the messages and said they left him feeling ashamed and fighting to save his 13-year marriage to Ellie Penfold.
Jenas apologised for making the women feel uncomfortable but insisted that he never broke the law.
The One Show debuted in 2006 as part of a one-month trial and was hosted by Nadia Sawalha and Adrian Chiles.
Despite initially being met with mixed reviews, the show consistently reached an average of 3.3 million viewers a night.
In July 2007, The One Show was brought back as a permanent show on the BBC.
The One Show returns to BBC One and iPlayer from 7pm on Monday 6th January.
