Boutique hotel Azul del Mar, above, (001 305 451 0337, www. azulkeylargo.com) is Key Largo's latest opening.
On Florida Bay at Mile Marker 104.3 on Overseas Highway, this all-suite chill-out pad has been created by photographer Dominic Marsden and his creativedirector wife Karol for those with no rugrats in tow.
The suites - darkly decked in tropical woods with dashes of yellow leather and ice-blue tiling - are in landscaped gardens shaded by coconut palms.
The lawn sweeps down to the water's edge, a small private beach and docks from where you can launch Azul's Hobie catamarans.
Summer rates from US$145 per night, room only, in a garden studio suite, to US$265 in a deluxe seaview suite.
There are flight deals aplenty with Quest Travel (0870 442 3513, www.questtravel.com). In June, returns to Orlando on Virgin cost £529, or to Miami, £509.
Virgin Holidays (0871 222 1232) re-introduces Disney Downtown Check-In at Disney World in Orlando - the service was suspended after 9/11. Passengers can check in baggage from 8.30am on departure day, receive a boarding card and then skip off for a few hours.
The "kids fly free" offer from British Airways Holidays (0870 243 3406, www.ba.com/holidays) ends next Thursday. During July and August, one child (under 12) can fly and stay free travelling with two adults on seven-night holidays.
One week at TradeWinds Island Grand Resort, St Pete Beach, costs £1,750 for a family of three or £2,129 for a family of four (first child goes free, second child flight cost only). Departs 22-31 August. Subject to availability.
