The dramatic Moscow skyline may not seem like a natural setting for some light-hearted St Patrick's Day revelry but around 15,000 people attend the Moscow parade, making the city the best attended party in Europe, outside of Ireland.
The first St Patrick's Day parade only took place in 1992 but the hard-drinking Muscovites are big fans of the Irish mentality and the event is widely regarded as a way of nurturing relations between the two nations.
