Package pricing

The biggest cause of holiday-related complaints made to trading standards offices this year has concerned confusing package prices.
They are becoming absurdly complicated. Thomson has decided to exclude in-flight meals and coach transfers from its basic rates, while Airtours now offers three tiers of packages and JMC/Thomas Cook offers four.
The brochure prices may be pretty meaningless anyway. While Airtours is presently promising that the price you see in the brochure is the price you pay, its rivals think artificially inflated brochure prices with discounts will boost bookings.
Establishing which company is offering the best deal has become virtually impossible.
