Stay-at-home Brits: as many as 15% have never been abroad
It has been revealed today that as many as 15 per cent of British adults have never been on holiday abroad.
The survey also showed that people aged 65 or over are the biggest stay-at-homes, according to the survey from Sainsbury's Travel Insurance.
Only around 10% of people aged 17-24 have never had a foreign holiday, but this number soars to 21% for those aged 65 and over.
The poll, which surveyed nearly 1,000 adults, also showed that people from the West Midlands seem to be the most-frequent foreign holiday takers, with only 9% from this region never having had a trip abroad.
In contrast, as many as 23% of people living in the East Midlands and east Anglia have never holidayed overseas - well above the national average.
