More than 50 dolphins jumped from the sea
It was a spectacle that would have inspired awe in many a more exotic location.
But this display of aquatic ballet was laid on exclusively for the unsuspecting tourists of St Austell, Cornwall.
More than 50 bottlenose dolphins made up the cast, soaring from the water, flying through the air, tailwalking and back-flipping, as a small but highly-privileged audience looked on.

This dolphin in particular was keen to show off
Steven Miller, who operates local sea trips, watched the extravaganza along with two boat-loads of tourists.
"I've never seen so many dolphins out together at one time putting on a display like this," he said. "You do see all sorts of dolphins in Cornwall, but never on this scale.
"One in particular put on a fabulous show for us. It tail-walked along the water and kept doing back-flips. It was hard to tell who it was showing off to most, the other dolphins or us."

The pod appeared just metres from two tourist boats
