Impressed with Prague

Having read the review in The Mail on Sunday (27/5/07) I would be less than impressed with Prague.
However, we have just spent five nights there at less than the cost of the reporter's train fares and had a really great time with excellent architecture, food, wine, beer and treatment by the locals.
There was some drunkenness in Wenceslas Square and a police presence, but out of that area we both felt very safe walking day and night.
We stayed at the Athena Hotel which was about 5-10 minutes walk from Old Town Square and although not luxurious, was comfortable and very good.
