Women take 'more adventurous' holidays
Last updated at 08:18 02 July 2004
Women have become more adventurous travellers than men, research suggests. Travel firm AirMiles says 55 per cent of its customers this year are female and ten per cent go it alone.
They tend to pick exotic destinations such as Thailand, while solo male travellers prefer beach holidays to the Med.
'Women are no longer happy to spend a week on a beach with their man,' says AirMiles boss Chris Jansen. 'They look for fun holidays with friends or new experiences.'
