Catch a bus? We'd rather take a plane

Britain has become 'plane crazy', taking so many flights that catching an aeroplane has become almost as routine as taking a taxi or even hiring a car, a new report claims.
Some people will even fly distances of less than 200 miles to go to a party or see friends and relatives because it is easy to do and often as cheap as alternative forms of transport.
The boom in budget airlines, new destinations and internet booking has created different kinds of air traveller, said the research by marketing agency ICLP.
ICLP (International Customer Loyalty Programmes) questioned more than 1,000 passengers from those who travel once a year to those who go every other week to their holiday home.
Director Tony Clarke said some related to planes 'like the rest of us do to cabs - a quick convenient means of transport.'
But others use low cost alternatives and fly to airports further out of the way but cheaper to get to, he said.
