VisitScotland, the country's official tourist board, has established further measures to highlight Scotland as a major holiday destination for cyclists.
To complement its Cycling Scotland website a new brochure has been introduced outlining trails and paths across the country.
The guide includes detailed maps, route descriptions and expert commentary.
It also promotes the Cyclists Welcome Scheme and logo that gives information on accommodation throughout Scotland that have extra services for cyclists such as lockable sheds and drying facilities.
There are 150 route suggestions available on the website that can be selected by area or by ability, split down into road cycling, simple off-road or mountain biking.
VisitScotland hope to encourage all standards of cyclists from holidaymaking day-trippers to serious mountain bikers.
One route includes a several day island-hopping route from Arran to the Outer Hebrides, while others wind along some of the 1300 miles of long distance cycle routes across Scotland.
Michael Addiscott, marketing officer at Cycling Scotland said: 'We welcome the new Cycle Scotland guide. It demonstrates the variety of ways in which cycling can reward anyone who wants to see Scotland at its best, whether they are hiring a bike to discover the area where they're staying or already committed cyclists...'
