The Marriott Copley Square hotel is beautiful and is in easy reach of downtown Boston. We had a beautiful view from our room on the 23rd floor over the river.
The concierge was a bit up himself, and when we asked him for suggestions as to where to eat he looked us up and down and asked if we were going out like THIS, granted we were casually dressed, but we were going out sightseeing.
He initially directed us to McDonalds and then when we were obviously not impressed by his attitude he directed us to Dicks Last Resort. Its a themed restaurant and their aim is to treat you as rudely as possible hence the name Last Resort the food was good and the ruder the staff were the funnier it was. Not really recommended for someone who wants a quiet night out though.
Boston is a beautiful place and is probably my favourite city in the States. It's old fashioned, has good shopping, a great aquarium & a nice atmosphere. We had a lovely meal near the aquarium in a more traditional restaurant.
Room service was great at the hotel even when we ordered Pizza Hut it was delivered to us on a silver tray with silver salt and pepper shakers.
Apart from the concierge the rest of the staff were great and the best thing about it all was it only cost $60 as we booked it on a website. Best $60 I ever spent!!
