Mont Choisy, Mauritius

Our trip to Mauritius was a holiday of a lifetime that turned out to be a disappointment. I'm just trying to save others from making the same mistake.
On the plus side, Mauritius has beautiful beaches, but we went all over the island and it is extremely dirty outside of the main hotel resorts - they have a totally different standard of hygiene.
You have to be very careful about where you eat. We were lucky to find one fabulous restaurant but at £60+ for 2 people excluding wine (the cheapest bottle of wine was £30) we had to limit our visits!
We felt uncomfortable on many occasions and even witnessed some fans of Bin Laden on the beach waving a flag and chanting!
