Concorde parts to be auctioned

While enthusiasts will no longer able to watch Concorde flying overhead from October they can at least own a bit of the supersonic jet for their mantelpiece.
Air France have announced they are holding a special auction at Christies in Paris on November 15 selling everything from the sought after Concorde nose cone to the knives and forks used on board.
There will be around 200 lots on sale and prices could be surprisingly down to earth. There are no reserve bids and items are expected to start from 20 euros.
However Air France are anticipating particular interest in the Olympus 593 engines which were used to power the super-fast fleet.
While British Airways have not said whether they'll follow suite with a similar auction, they are selling 1500 limited-edition prints of the legendary jet. Each print will be autographed by chief Concorde pilot Mike Bannister.
