A first class service under the sea

The South Pacific island of Vanuatu has become home to the world's first underwater post office.
A fibreglass pod three metres deep will act as a makeshift post office for visiting tourists.
Divers will be able to scuba dive down to buy waterproof postcards. Four trained divers will act as postal workers and receive and stamp mail.
The tiny island, a popular holiday hideaway for Australians, is around 1,000 miles from the Queensland coast and part of an 83-island archipelago.
Tourist officials in Port Vila, the island's capital, have created the watery post office to draw attention to the area's coral reefs and colourful marine life.
