Going to Bali? some advice

This is just advice for people travelling to Bali for the first time. I spent 2 weeks there March/April 2003.
Use the proper money exchangers for changing currency, the best ones and rates are the Kodak shops. Hotels are ok, but you don't get a good rate.
DO NOT use the roadside exchangers offering great rates, I promise you, they will rip you off good style.
If you want to travel round the island, hire a vehicle and driver, there are plenty, they will stay with you all day, they will take you anywhere you want and they will know places to go that you don't know about. They are inexpensive, probably cost about £25 to £30 per day and if there are two or more of you, it is very cheap and the best way to do it.
Hope that helps someone at least.
