Getting there
British Airways and easyJet both fly to Barcelona (from £80 return). Sitges is a 30-minute train ride from the airport (¿4).
What to do
For a touch of artistic history, visit the Museu Romantic (Sant Gaudenci1), the Museu Maricel and Museu Cau Ferrat (Carrer del Fonallar).
Look around the stunning parish church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla (Carrer del Fonallar). Play volleyball on the beach (Spain's volleyball championships are held here in July). Visit during February to witness the carnival. Take a trip to Barcelona, a 20-minute train ride along the coast.
Restaurants and bars
Izarra (Major 22) offers traditional tapas dishes that are delicious and cheap. For the best Serrano ham in town, stop at Bar Xatet (Calle Sant Francesc 1). El Greco (Passeig de la Ribera 70) is posh nosh with sea views.
The cheapest beers can be found at Bar Kansas on the promenade (Passeig de la Ribera). Bar Pay-Pay (Carrer Marquès de Montroig 'Sin Street') does a variety of outlandish cocktails.
Nightlife
The two main nightclubs are the original Pacha and L'Atlantida.
