Sheraton Deira, Dubai

The Sheraton Deira is a very nice hotel, in a pleasant residential location with friendly and helpful staff. However, if you intend to stay there, ask for a room as high up as possible.
We stayed in an excellent suite on the second floor, but the nightmare started after 10.00pm.
Ground level is home to the hotel's night club which pounds away music until 3.00 am, and many other guests complained about the unacceptable noise level on the rooms above.
Also, the small roof-top pool area is directly under the flightpath of nearby Dubai airport, so if you are an insomniac and a keen plane spotter, this hotel is for you!
Seriously though, it is a shame that this excellent hotel cannot move the nightclub to the spare ground next to the hotel as I feel Sheraton have compromised their guests' comfort for the sake of extra revenue generated by this club.
