We decided to visit this hotel again 33 years after spending our honeymoon there (different ownership), going for a long weekend.
The hotel is situated overlooking the Clyde and set in its own grounds on a hillside a short distance from the town centre.
We travelled with Shearings self drive and found friendly staff, clean bedrooms and adequate if not gourmet food.
The evening entertainment was more than reasonable considering we only paid £68.50 per person for dinner, bed & breakfast for 4 nights.
The only drawback to Dunoon are the distances you have to travel to see other parts of the area, but we don't consider that a problem.
