Caribbean

The Caribbean is a cruising hotspot for the American market and hence the busiest cruise area in the world.
Apart from a slight hurricane risk in summer, you can expect perfect weather all year round and the sea is hardly ever rough.
Nature has arranged the islands perfectly for cruise ships, the distances are just right to enjoy a port visit every day and travel on to the next island overnight.
Cruises normally start at Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral or Tampa - all in Florida.
Popular ports include Nassau in the Bahamas, Ocho Rios in Jamaica, St Thomas in the Virgin Islands, St Martin, Bridgetown in Barbados and Georgetown in Grenada.
