Dan Parks and Scott Murray have
been recalled to the Scotland
team for their opening World Cup
Pool C clash against Portugal in
St Etienne tomorrow.
Glasgow fly half Parks takes the
place of Chris Paterson at No 10,
while record appearance holder
Murray returns to a side featuring
10 players making their World Cup
debuts.
The 85-cap man will partner
Nathan Hines at lock with James
Hamilton standing down.
Marcus Di Rollo comes in for the
injured Andrew Henderson at
centre, while Scott Lawson and
Allan Jacobsen are preferred to
Ross Ford and Gavin Kerr in the
front row. Captain Jason White is
joined by Simon Taylor and
Allister Hogg in the back row.
Scotland coach Frank Hadden,
said: "We wanted to get the
balance and selection as good as
possible. We're not just here
to give opportunities to players.
It's about trying to find the
balance.
"The gloves are off. We want to
win the match."
Scotland are expected to
comfortably see off tournament

added: "It's very important we
start the game well. We are used
to being the underdog."
