Catalans chief steps down

Catalans Dragons are searching for a third chief executive in 12 months
following the decision of Nicolas Rayer to step down for personal and family
reasons.
Rayer, 37, was appointed in August to replace Australian Grant Mayer, who
resigned two months earlier to take up a similar position at Sydney club Manly
Sea Eagles.

Rayer's resignation will take effect from Monday and club chairman Bernard
Guasch intends to meet with officials of the Rugby Football League in Leeds next
week before taking the next step.
General manager Christophe Levy described rumours of current St Helens chief
executive Sean McGuire joining the French club as "unfounded".
