Noon appeals against ban
Last updated at 09:04 03 December 2004
Leicester prop Colin Noon has lodged an appeal against a six-month ban imposed after he was found guilty of deliberately stamping on an opponent's head.
The suspension, handed down by a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel two weeks ago, followed an incident during Rotherham's National League One clash against Pertemps Bees in October.
Noon, on loan at Rotherham at the time, was banned until May next year.
But he has now served notice of his intention to appeal against both conviction and suspension. He will be free to continue playing until the appeal has been determined.
A date for the appeal hearing has yet to be decided.
