Hull to enjoy home comforts
Last updated at 00:07 15 September 2007
Hull secured home advantage in the playoffs with their first win against Bradford this season.
Bradford dominated
the first half but, having
failed to achieve more
than a 4-4 scoreline at
the break, were made to
pay in the second half.
Graeme Horne gave
Hull a 46th-minute lead,
racing 60 yards for a
superb individual score.
Then Tommy Lee set up
a try for the onrushing
Danny Tickle.
With the game seemingly
up, Bradford had
one final chance to take the get back into contention,
only for Nathan
McAvoy to inexplicably
spill the ball forward with
the line at his mercy.
To compound McAvoy's
misery, Richard Whiting
played football with a
loose ball for 30 yards
along the right touchline
before grounding for a
third Hull try.
Tickle kicked four
goals for Hull, who had
Whiting sin-binned for
holding at the start of
the second half.
