Huddersfield have signed North Queensland Cowboys utility player Rod Jensen on a two-and-half-year contract.
The 28-year-old, known as "Rocket", has been released by the Cowboys to join the engage Super League club immediately.
With John Skandalis having now qualified for a Greek passport, Jensen will take up the third slot on the club's overseas quota alongside Brad Drew and Jamahl Lolesi.
Giants head coach Jon Sharp said: "Rod is a highly experienced utility player who can cover a number of positions.
"He began his career on the wing where he first came to our attention and since then he has enjoyed spells in the centre and back row.
"He will be a great addition to our squad with his versatility giving us plenty of options."
Jensen began his top-grade career with the now-defunct Adelaide Rams before continuing in the NRL with Canberra and then Cronulla.
He has played more than 100 matches in the crack Australian competition and scored 36 tries.
Jensen said: "I have always followed the Super League and the Giants in particular as I know that they have kept in close contact with my career over a number of years. I am looking forward to the challenge."
