Ryan Moore enjoyed an armchair ride in the Betway Easter Classic as Convey outclassed the field on AWC Finals Day at Lingfield.
The three-time champion jockey had endured a frustrating afternoon to that point, but was travelling sweetly aboard the Sir Michael Stoute-trained favourite before easing clear of runner-up Absolute Beast.
Moore said: ‘This was a nice long-term plan they put together and it’s worked out well. He had too much class for them today.’
Popular veteran Sovereign Debt, runner-up in the last two renewals of the AW Mile Championship Conditions Stakes, went one better at 8-1 in the hands of James Sullivan.
