Breeders' Cup Classic winner Invasor made a winning return to action when
claiming the Grade One Donn Handicap at Gulfstream Park.
The five-year-old, who is owned by Sheikh Hamdan al Maktoum's Shadwell Stable,
had been off the track since securing his Horse of the Year title with victory
at Churchill Downs.

Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin sent Invasor to Florida as a prep for next month's
Dubai World Cup but all did not got to plan with the son of Candy Stripes boxed
in on the turn for home before clipping the heels of a rival.
Invasor and jockey Fernando Jaro recovered though, finding room a furlong out
before accelerating away to pull two lengths clear of Hesanoldsalt, who claimed
second in a three-way photo.
"I thought he was stopped," McLaughlin told www.thoroughbredtimes.
"He showed what a superior horse he is. He finds a way to win every time. It
was scary, but he showed why he was Horse of the Year.
"We'll leave for Dubai on March 15. It's going to be exciting. This horse
wants the mile-and-a-quarter, and will be at equal weights with Discreet Cat
this year."
Invasor, who began his racing career in Uruguay, will be making a second trip
to Dubai after finishing fourth behind Discreet Cat in the UAE Derby last year.
