Jockey Cooper faces lengthy spell on sidelines after devastating leg break
Bryan Cooper faces a lengthy period of recuperation after breaking his right leg in a horror fall on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old had surgery in Gloucester on Thursday and was moved to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol later that day ahead of further surgery on Friday.
Irish Turf Club senior medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick reported Cooper to have suffered a ‘very complex’ fracture.

It is the second broken leg sustained by the highly-rated jockey in the last 10 months.
He broke his left femur in a fall at Down Royal last May and had only returned to action in September.
Cooper thanked all the doctors at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday.
Meanwhile, veteran Paul Carberry has been booked by Dessie Hughes to ride Lyreen Legend in the Gold Cup on Friday.
