British number one Andy Murray intends to make his return from injury at the
Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington later this month.
The 20-year-old has been out of action since injuring his wrist in May and was
forced to miss the French Open and Wimbledon.
Murray wrote on his website, www.andymurray.com: "Washington's where I'm gonna
play next.
"Bottom line is I'm getting much better. My wrist's responded really well to
all the treatment, and the careful approach I've taken with it."
Murray has been using lightweight balls in training in recent weeks but has now
been given the all-clear to step up his rehabilitation. The world number 14
intends to travel to the United States this weekend ahead of the Washington
tournament beginning on July 30.
