Button could be stripped of his points

BAR could yet lose Jenson Button's third-place finish in the San Marino Grand Prix after the FIA announced that they are going to appeal against the stewards' decision to take no further action following a problem with the weight of the car.
The Englishman's BAR-Honda was held for several hours in the scrutineering bay at Imola amid fears it was under the prescribed weight limit, an offence which would have meant his disqualification.
But six hours after the race the stewards were finally satisfied with the car, declaring that no further action needed to be taken and the result was made official.
But that decision could yet be overturned after an FIA statement released today read: "The FIA are to appeal against the decision of the stewards at the 2005 San Marino Grand Prix to take no further action in respect of car number three (Jenson Button).
"The International Court of Appeal is scheduled (subject to confirmation) to hear the case in Paris on May 4."
Button scored BAR's first points of the season with his podium finish in San Marino.
It was his first top three finish since the Japanese Grand Prix last season.
