England batsman Robert Key has agreed a long-term extension to his Kent contract.
The 25-year-old, who was today named in the Test squad to tour South Africa this winter, believes the club can look forward to exciting times ahead.
"I am obviously delighted about my inclusion on the England winter tour and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead," said Key.
"I am also very pleased to have committed my long-term future to Kent. We are at a very exciting stage in our development and we have a group of particularly talented players."
Kent chairman Graham Johnson added: "Robert has had an outstanding season with both Kent and England and we are particularly pleased that he has chosen this moment to commit his long-term future to Kent cricket.
"Over the last 18 months, Kent has been proud to have provided four players for the full England side."
