Diving: Your guide to the gymnastics on the water
No, this isn't something in which Premier League footballers can compete, but instead is one of the longest-standing Olympic Sports.
Competitive diving was a cast-off of gymnastics, with the water said to encourage greater difficulty in performance. That element remains to this day, with points awarded on the complexity of the dive.
Originally, only two forms of diving were on the Olympic programme - the 10m platform and a form of diving long jump - with the latter appearing only once in 1904. Synchronised Diving made its first Olympic appearance at Sydney in 2000.
Nowadays, 136 athletes compete across four different heights between the 3m springboard and 10m platform.
