We are going to bring our live blog to a close here from a packed penultimate day of the Olympics in Paris.

Team GB have earned artistic swimming and taekwondo silver, as well as bronze medals in diving and three on the track today.

We will be back on Sunday for the final day of the Olympics, with the Closing Ceremony in the evening bringing the Games to a close.

Be sure to keep across Mail Sport platforms for all the latest news from the Games.

Goodbye for now!

Parkrun to the podium

We can look back now to a brilliant bronze medal for Britain's Georgia Bell in the women's 1,500m earlier this evening.

The 30-year-old had been out of athletics for five years until she ran the 5k fun run at London’s Bushy Park in 2022.

That prompted Bell to start taking the sport seriously again and she got her rewards here in Paris, smashing the British record with a time of 3min 52.61sec, ahead of fifth-placed Laura Muir.

‘I don’t know if I’ve ever been this happy,’ said Bell.

‘I was off the track for five years but Parkrun is such a good thing for anyone. I am so happy I came back to this sport.

‘When I took up running again, the goal wasn’t to make the Olympics, that would have been absolutely bonkers. But I have showed it’s never too late to go back to something you enjoy.’

Lin Yu-ting joins fellow gender row boxer Imane Khelif in winning Olympic gold

More then on gender row boxer Lin Yu-Ting winning gold in the women's featherweight event earlier tonight.

Lin fell to her knees as her opponent graciously congratulated her on winning gold by a unanimous points decision.

Whereas Yu-Ting's previous two opponents had made the 'X' sign with their index fingers, Szeremeta chose to make a heart shape to the crowd from the ring.

Yu-Ting bowed repeatedly to the spectators and thanked them, pointing to her heart.

Caden Cunningham puts his head in his hands.

The British star has missed out on gold in the men's over 80kg final.

The final round is scoreless in the final 30 seconds, but Arian Salimi scores with a body shot to take the lead.

Cunningham attempts to respond but gets hit by a head shot to fall further behind.

Salimi starts celebrating early as he knows he has gold in his hands.

He wins the final round 6-2 to win gold, with Cunningham left settling for silver.

Another result to bring you up to date with amid the medal rush.

Both athletes cleared 2.36m, but were dropped down a height to 2.34m to decide the jump off.

Kerr went clear at the heigh again, with McEwen unable to match him with the New Zealander winning gold as a result.

Breaking:Gender row boxer Lin Yu Ting wins gold

A unanimous points victory for Taiwan's Lin Yu Ting.

Lin won each of the rounds to clinch Taiwan's first ever gold medal in boxing at the Olympic Games.

The top seed lived up to that status.

Lin is one of two boxers to have been at the centre of controversy at the Olympics after being disqualified from last year's World Championships.

Both boxers have now won gold in Paris without ever really being threatened.
