Jelly Roll tells the NFL what they really should have done with the Super Bowl halftime show amid Bad Bunny fury
Jelly Roll has told the NFL they should put on a country music-themed Super Bowl halftime show and even demanded he get a small role.
The singer, who won the Grammy for best contemporary country album on Sunday night, made his pitch to Roger Goodell on the red carpet before the star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles.
Jelly Roll initially demanded the NFL's biggest game be played in Nashville in the coming years, once the Tennessee Titans' new $2.1billion stadium is complete.
He then outlined his vision for a fitting halftime show if the city is given the right to host it.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 41-year-old said: 'The Super Bowl could possibly come to Nashville in the next three to five years.
'We are getting a new stadium and I have a dream that they do a country music-themed halftime show. Maybe they just let me do a little 20 or 30 seconds in it.

A country music show would likely go down better than the call to have Bad Bunny perform
'I want to see Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton. I would love to see the country legends with the new dogs, like Morgan Wallen.
'That’s my dream. Something that involved the whole community.'
A country music halftime show would most likely go down much better in America than the decision to award the honor to Bad Bunny for this year's game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
The announcement that Bad Bunny will perform was first made in late September, instantly placing the singer and rapper at the center of a political firestorm.
Within days, the choice drew sharp rebukes from high-ranking government officials who questioned the artist's past criticisms of U.S. immigration policies. He previously cited ICE agents as a reason he did not include any mainland US dates for his tour.
Donald Trump was among those to criticize the decision and he later revealed that he would not be attending the game due to the Puerto Rican's selection.
A petition shows Jelly Roll could be right because 122,000 people have signed one demanding country music legend George Strait replace Bad Bunny.
The Change.org petition, which was started by Kar Shell, describes the halftime show as a celebration of 'the cultural tapestry of America' despite recent performances leaning 'increasingly towards modern pop and international artists.'
It then goes on to argue the case for 73-year-old Strait, the iconic singer, songwriter, actor and producer considered by many as the 'King of Country Music.'

After months of controversy, Bad Bunny will finally perform at Levi's Stadium on Sunday night
With tensions high across America, Bad Bunny could not help but criticize ICE when he was presented with one of the Grammys' iconic gramophones on Sunday.
He said: 'Before I say thanks to god, I'm going to say, ICE Out.'
He received a massive ovation from the crowd before he continued his speech. 'We are not savage. We are not animals. We are not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.
'The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So, please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love.
'We don't hate them, we love our people, we love our family, and that's the way to do it, with love.'
