Toseland hopes to maintain form in Monza

James Toseland will look to wipe out the memory of last year's Monza round of the World Superbike Championship this weekend in Italy.
The HANNspree Ten Kate Honda rider leads the current series after winning a
race at each of the first five rounds.
But last year, which was his debut season for the team, the former champion
crashed and finished fifth in the two races at the circuit near Milan.
He is determined to put that right this season to keep his title challenge on
track after taking a first and second during the last round at Assen in
Holland.
Toseland only missed out on a double race win when he was just edged out in
race two by Ducati Xerox's defending champion Troy Bayliss.
"We kept the winning streak going at Assen - although the double win escaped
me yet again thanks to Troy," admitted Toseland.
"I hope I can carry it on at Monza and get another double podium. I wasn't
happy with my results at Monza last year - I had a high-speed crash in race one
and finished fifth in race two - so this year I hope to wipe out those memories
with two successful races to keep and extend the championship lead."
Toseland's team manager Ronald ten Kate has his focus on at least two podium
finishes.
He said: "With James still leading the championship and with the way he is
riding at the moment, we don't want to settle for anything less than two podiums
at Monza.
"Having said that, we know that racing is very intense at this circuit so we
will have to see what happens."
