Connor unsure of Wolves future after interim deal at Molineux ends in May
Terry Connor does not know whether he will still have a job at Wolves when his spell as interim manager ends on May 13th.
The coach has been at Molineux for 13 years but has had no reassurances about his future.
Connor has yet to see Wolves win since taking over from sacked Mick McCarthy and Saturday’s defeat at Stoke leaves them rooted to the bottom of the table.
Undecided: Terry Connor does not know about his future
Down: Wolves appear destined for the drop
‘My job is to look after the football club until the 13th of May which I am very happy and very proud to do so. That hasn’t changed one iota for me unless I am told otherwise,’ said Connor.
‘I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as manager and will continue to do so. What happens in the future, happens. I’d just like to be employed come the 13th of May.
‘I have been in football long enough to know that managers like to bring in people that they have worked with and bring in their own coaching teams so I’m not under any illusions.’ Connor has overseen a run of six successive defeats. He has shown a willingness to make tough decisions, dropping captain Roger Johnson on Saturday and handing the armband back to Karl Henry but, sadly, has not been able to stop the rot.
