Blackpool for being the first and thus only side to take a Premier League scalp and to Northampton for snatching the latest of equalisers and then dumping a side two leagues above them out on penalties.
Thank you for following what has been a goal packed evening, that's all from me.

Richard Stearman has won it with what is the last kick of the game in extra-time and that is the heartbreak to end all heartbreaks for Southend.
22.20: Preston have also held on, and are probably fortunate to escape with a win, North End's class with the winner the differnce between the two sides.
22.18: Ipswich Town won't need penalties though, Norris' goal has seen them through in extra time at Crewe.
22.16: Looks like three games are heading for penalties then, the drama just doesn't stop in the Carling Cup.
22.15: Portsmouth and Palace have gone to penalties at Fratton Park.

20.50: Half-time in the 8pm kick-offs no early second half goals in the 7.45pm but I remember the goal fest that erupted last time I said that.
20.47: Dramatic start to the second half at Elland Road where Luciano Becchio has a great chance to score but can only see his effort blocked on the line, should have scored considering the area (IE the whole goal) he had to aim at.
20.45: Second half's starting to get underway, no games are dead and buried yet, I admit some need minor miracles (Shrewsbury, Colchester I'm looking at you) but it's all still wide open.

19.30: Good evening, round two of the Carling Cup is upon us which means the arrival of the big boys from the Premier League.
None of last seasons Euro qualifiers play in this round though, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool already in the hat for Round three.
That doesn't mean we don't have any potential 'cupsets' this evening, with 21 games being played tonight, good ol' law of averages should spring up a surprise somewhere.
Team news from all the major games on the way as soon as I get it. Until then (and after) don't forget to email me your thoughts on tonights action at dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk
