Jones out of India Tests

England fast bowler Simon Jones has been ruled out of the Test series in India and is unlikely to participate in the one-day campaign which follows.
Ashes hero Jones had only just regained full fitness after a six-month spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury when he twisted his left knee in the Nagpur nets a week ago.
The 27-year-old underwent an arthroscopy on Friday and will now begin a course of rehabilitation with England one-day physio Dean Conway.
The second of England's three back-to-back Tests against India begins on Thursday with the one-day commitments starting in the final week of March.
Jones left the sub-continent accompanied by captain Michael Vaughan last Tuesday as the tour began in chaotic manner.
Neither Vaughan, whose recurring knee injury will be monitored over the next few weeks, or Marcus Trescothick, granted indefinite leave for personal reasons, are expected to return to the nine-week tour.
