Wolves set sights on Collymore
Stan Collymore's return to English football with Wolves is dependent on Real Oviedo, the Spanish club he walked out on.
Collymore's registration is held by Oviedo, who were annoyed when the controversial former Aston Villa, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest striker left last season, announcing he was quitting the game.
Wolves, who had Collymore, 30, on their books when he was a teenager, must buy his registration or negotiate a loan deal.
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: 'There have been a couple of conversations with Stan's representatives. There is genuine interest in exploring the situation further.'
The close proximity of Molineux to Collymore's Cannock home could help persuade him to sign.
BLACKBURN Rovers goalkeeper Alan Kelly will sign for Tottenham tomorrow. The £600,000 deal has been delayed by negotiations on settling Kelly's Ewood Park contract, which had two years to run. Kelly, 33, said: 'I believe there is no longer an issue. As far as I'm concerned I'm going to sign for Spurs on Tuesday.'
ALEX MANNINGER is poised to leave Arsenal for German club Borussia Moenchengladbach. The Austria goalkeeper, 24, has fallen further down the Highbury pecking order following the arrival of Richard Wright from Ipswich and would welcome the move. Arsenal are likely to demand a £2.5million fee.
