Kachloul on his way to Villa

Southampton's Hassan Kachloul has turned down a move to Ipswich to join Aston Villa.

Ipswich had announced last week that Kachloul would be travelling to Portman Road to undergo a medical on his return from holiday this week.

But Kachloul, who moved to The Dell in a £250,000 move from St Etienne, has seemingly had a last-minute change of mind.

His decision to move to Villa Park will be a huge boost to the midlands club, who again underperformed last season and have been rocked by increased dissent within the squad.
